Fowlers of Bristol (Engineers) Ltd. is a well established Engineering Company located in Avonmouth close to the City of Bristol in the South West of England. We have a skilled and versatile workforce numbering 29 and annual turnover of approx. £2.3 million. We manufacture sheet metal components, precision machined parts, welded fabrications and pressings. We predominantly serve the Aerospace & Defence Industries, however we also work in the Commercial and Automotive sectors. We aim to give a rapid response to all enquiries and offer a complete manufacturing service from initial enquiry through to delivery of product, we are always available to visit our customers to discuss their specific requirements and we often give advice on design, production methods and product improvement.

Quality Assurance is carried out in accordance with the requirements of AS9100 & ISO9001 and individual customer standards/specifications. Approval to these standards means that we can demonstrate a high level of control over our manufacturing, quality & business processes.
We are audited on a six monthly basis by our accreditation body (NQA) and usually once a year by our Major Aerospace Customers.

Production control is carried out with the aid of a Oracle based MRP system (Aventa), this comprehensive system is a ‘real time’ production aid which provides us with valuable information from initial enquiry right through to delivery of product, we are able to check the status of any job at any stage. All work in progress is monitored on a daily basis and we have a weekly production meeting which is attended by Directors and Senior Management.
Every job follows a planned sequence of operations which is clearly defined on the job card along with a bill of materials and any specific requirements (manufacturing or quality) unique to the particular component or customer.
